RPL Catalogue of Resources:About
From RPL Catalogue of Resources
The Recognition of Prior Learning or RPL Catalogue is an online catalogue of links to tools, services, and resources from across Canada related to the identification, documentation, and demonstration of skills and learning.
This project, initially funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration, Saskatchewan, and further funded by the province of New Brunswick, will serve as a vital source of information on RPL tools, services and resources available across Canada. We envision that this on-line catalog will help to meet the growing needs of employers, educators, licensing and regulatory organizations, unions, volunteer organizations and others who regularly have questions about the availability of existing RPL resources.
The RPL Catalogue is a project of the Canadian Association of Prior Learning Assessment (CAPLA)’s online community of practice, Recognition for Learning. CAPLA is the national voice for prior learning assessment and recognition in Canada.
Our goals are to advance the assessment and recognition of learning, and promote the improvement of RPL/PLAR practice in Canada.
This site includes information on:
RPL/PLAR research in Canada
Training available
Information for individuals preparing to have their learning assessed through an RPL/PLAR process
Links to RPL/PLAR policies and research from organizations across Canada
Conferences, webinars and other RPL/PLAR professional training opportunities
And much more!
